Was the result standardised for the cohort taking it? If so, and your son did well, it means that he did well compared to other candidates. Again, for the other providers it may be a different cohort.
I don't know how these providers come to their scores, they probably don't have enough taking it to standardise the scores?
I wouldn't worry too much about the score compared to other tests, I would just focus on the positive outcome. It will give him confidence in the actually test, which must be very soon?
When is the actual test? You could also look at where he fell down on previous tests & practice those types of questions. If it's very soon it's probably not the moment to start focussing on trying to sort out a possible weakness, it will just add stress.
