Nothing to do with PP. It's 23 for the year so roughly 4 per class they have taken by postcode only who therefore needed a lower score.
All the grammars offer places to PP children who qualify.
I would be surprised if the girls who made the priority score but not the qualifying score make a significant difference to the academic mix of the school. There are such fine margins in the 11 plus. I know children who haven't qualified at first and have started grammars via in year entry and thrived. Sometimes exceeding those that qualified in the top groups. The priority score still means they have had to get a certain standard.
Absolutely! I would say someone who hasn’t been tutored extensively and gets close is someone naturally very able.
You will never know why they missed out marginally on the day. Let’s not forget other variables such as those younger do gain some extra points which can also make a difference. Close is still good 😊
