Thanks to whoever mentioned that you can email for your position on the waiting lists. I just did this and got a really quick response.

However it's not what I expected! My son is inner priority for KES and got 1 point below AQS. As one of the moderators noted a few pages back this puts us in category 6 and I (very roughly!!) estimate there could be 30-odd children with higher scores in the outer priority.

But I was told he's (currently anyway) number 4 on the list. Obviously I'm delighted about this, but can it really be correct??

Wishing everyone on the waiting list limbo well!!!!
We're in the same situation and I feared we'd end up Category 6 too. From what I've read (and I've read a lot!), it looks like they prioritise up to 70 LOCAL boys and therefore a child in the inner circle would still be in CAT 3 providing they score the minimum academic standard (i.e. waiting list score). My son scored 231 and we live 0.5 miles from KES. He is #1 on the waiting list. I also asked if any reallocations have been made today and was told that no reallocations would be made before Monday. Hope this helps! Fingers crossed a place comes up next week! I hate this waiting game...
It is great for you if this is the case but it is looks like it is contrary to their own published admissions policy. Have you managed to find some other information that supports it ? As it stands the next boys on the waiting list would be those in the inner and outer area who have scored less than 252 and more than 232
