Does anyone have any insight on how competitive it is to be offered a place at Sixth Form? Obviously places are conditional on meeting required GCSE grades (at least 6 x 7s, 8/9s in future A-level subjects, minimum 6s in maths and Eng Language - but I'm wondering how over-subscribed they are at this point?
Admissions page says if they are oversubscribed they go to a points system and then beyond that, geographical distance. They say they took 40 new pupils in 2021 which feels like quite a lot!
My dd is keen to apply and predicted good grades for GCSE (all 8s/9s so far - though early days of course) and we live 2 miles away. Just wondering how confident we can be that she gets a place (provided she gets the grades), or is it still incredibly competitive?
