you would probably do better to ask which area to avoid which will be the area around Pate's and close proximity to it - Haster's way, St Marks. You can actually make a very educated guess of how an area is by looking up its deprivation index.
I can suggest Hatherley and Warden Hill area because that is where I live and it is OK with good primary schools and reasonable commute to the school and house prices are moderate.
However, even here, there are places to avoid.
There will be loads of other places that people can suggest to you.
Leckhampton is generally considered posh and has a good primary school but comes with the premium price tag.
Another area of repute is Charlton Kings but again the price is high because it is the catchment of a very reputed comprehensive.
The list can go on and on.
