Would most 10 year olds prefer to do two tests on two weekends, or one test and something fun on the other? And what 10 year old could properly comprehend 'two lower stakes tests or one all or nothing attempt'. Sounds very much like pushy parenting to me, so maybe the mental health thing isn't so far fetched.
I think this is mental health-washing tbh. Surely it’s better for their MG to have two lower stakes tests than one, all-or-nothing attempt?
Obviously it’s cheaper to run one test, which is important, but to dress it up as better for the children is quite cynical I think.
