Is there anything you feel parents often don’t understand about the process when they look into applying?
What tips would you give interested parents who feel their boys might thrive at Eton but just don’t think they can afford anything like the fees and ongoing expenses
Many of the parents on this forum either DIY prep their children for 11 plus exams, or they tutor for a year or two, knowing that grammar school places don’t then involve year on year fees.
Is there any realistic possibility of DIY-prepping for the Eton entrance papers? The impression given from the website is that the majority of boys who enter will have had specific preparation and I suspect thisbputs off parents of state educated children from thinking about applying (especially as it costs £400 to register to enter)….
