Hello,
I would really appreciate a bit of advice on how to order our school preferences on the school application form. Our situation:
We are in Kent and my daughter didn't pass the Kent Test. She was not far off and we intend to appeal for 2 grammar schools (with a preference for one over the other). Obviously we know that appeals have a slim chance so we also need to think very carefully about our comprehensive choices. There are 2 comprehensives to consider. We have a preference for one over the other however the preferred comprehensive is further away than our second choice comprehensive. The second choice comprehensive is very near by and rarely full so I feel confident that wherever we place this school, we would be allocated this school if this was all that was available. I really feel that we ought to place the preferred comprehensive in first place so as not to jeopardise our chances of being allocated this school when it is highly probable we will be attending a comprehensive in September. Therefore, does this seem the most sensible ordering of schools:
1. preferred comprehensive (further away)
2. preferred grammar
3. second choice grammar
4. second choice comprehensive
Does this seem like the right order to others? Does anyone have any advice or experience of a similar situation?
Kind regards.
